My Loyal Friend

I borrowed the movie "Marley and Me" from the library the other day. I saw it in the theater before and read the book, and I laughed, I cried, it moved me. Watching it again, I laughed, I cried- you get the picture. If you haven't seen it, you should. Have tissues on hand.

Recently someone on the message board I frequent lost their dog. They did a great montage with pictures and music. I will have to admit that I don't get as many shots of Padme now that the kids are around. Before we had kids, she was pretty well photographed. I felt bad after I took the Valentine's Day shots of the kids because Padme had been in the background, and I shooed her away because she didn't quite fit in the shot very gracefully. Looking back, I should have tried some posing with the kids.
So I made up for it by getting some shots of her on St. Patrick's Day.

I really love this dog. She is really good with the kids. Very loyal. She probably doesn't have many more years with us. She turned 11 in January, and she is showing her age. She still has a lot of energy, but she's slowing down. I don't like to think of life without her. We missed her a lot when we lived in Seattle.

Awh, what a sweet old girl!

I don't take as many pictures of our dog since our daughter was born. But she sneaks in a lot of them because she has to see what's going on. So, I sometimes get some of the both of them. Lately, she hasn't been so nosey, so she hasn't been in too many of the shots.
