Official Swimmer

Kyrie got really brave this week and told me that she wanted to jump off the diving board without me there to catch her. I told her that she would need to demonstrate to the lifeguards that she could be by herself in the deep end by swimming across the pool and back. And she did! She was very proud of the wristband she got as proof.

And it's not very easy to see in these pictures, but she has a really great tan this summer!

I can't really remember not being able to swim. I started swim lessons when I was 4 and had several sessions from then until I was 10 or 11. I'm still not a very strong swimmer. Water's not really my strong point I guess, but I'm certainly not going to drown anytime soon. Not unless there's some terrible accident and I hit my head or something.
